Cogwerk Decay and Illyrian Expansion

[History, War]

SoCP Flag
The political confrontation that emerged in the Society of Cogwerk Planets (SoCP), stemming from the growing pirate plague, took on a more serious dimension in 3329, when the increasingly serious presence of the incursions of the mysterious King of the Pirates gave rise to hegemony to snatch a portion of its territory to the SoCP.

The leadership of Duke Crimson, supported by Talbus Arms, demonstrated total ineffectiveness in combating the problem of increasing piracy.

The reality was that the Pirate King and his forces began to take entire worlds, especially large mining production outposts, increasingly weakening a SoCP stranded in a complex and ineffective administrative and political situation.

Illyrian Hegemony Flag
The Illyrian Hegemony then initiated a campaign that would allow them to expand at the expense of SoCP, eluding the argument of a frontal attack against the increasingly weakened SoCP with the diplomatic excuse of maintaining the galactic order, fighting those worlds close to the Hegemony that had been taken by the pirates.

The plan of the Illyrian Hegemony was simply and effective: They began to send armed forces to the worlds occupied by the pirates, and after their liberation, secured them by stable and well-armed garrisons. Through this successful expansionist maneuver, the Illyrian exploited a way that allowed them to scratch many worlds to the SoCP.
