The Commander Andrew Conover (Better known as Andy Conover) first made his mark on Mecha Galaxy in 3261, piloting his Nifthel in Division One of the inaugural King of the Mountain event.

His prized Nifthel, Grey Death, was the oldest model still in active service and is as legendary as its pilot. Conover piloted Grey Death in Clan Wars III, the first of many Clan Wars in his career.

He fought with the Karaian Empire as well as the Brotherhood’s Northwind Fusiliers and rose through the ranks steadily before being recruited by Cmdr. Sal Vezzosi in the early 3300s to Fission, a clan related to Fusion (Division One Champions).  

Other notable achievements include a Fire and Ice Gold Medal in Mechalympix and many Clan Wars Gold medals with the Northwind Fusiliers.

He was a force to be reckoned with as the custom modifications made to his mecha allowed Andy, who was legally blind, to meld with his A.I. in a way no other pilot could. When training new pilots, he was often heard to say, “Never trust that the Blind Man doesn't know where to aim.”

The tireless General Conover, leader of the Unification and Nemesis of Xeon is the counterpart of Andy Conover in the parallel galaxy.

Cmdr. Andy Conover passed away September 27, 3316 (2016).
